The Signature Talk Program is a step-by-step path from idea to opening night, and we’re your team along the way. The outline is below; the pace is ours to determine together in partnership. If you’re ready for the journey, we’ll bring the snacks.

Part 1: Reflect, Amplify—from idea to outline

We’ll start by sifting through your ideas to create a core idea for a signature talk — an external perspective can help you get clear and see the bigger picture or context for your idea. Then we’ll create a through-line for your talk to bring it to outline form.

Part 2: Structure, Strategize—from outline to first draft

Here we’ll fill out the outline (let’s decorate the Christmas tree!). Work on story-telling structure. Create a “breathable” structure for your talk that can be easily tweaked for different circumstances (including audiences and time limits).

Part 3: Write, Refine—from first draft to finished script/first rehearsal

Now it’s time to polish, refine, and tweak the language, up and on your feet . . . so it sounds like you. Clarify your objectives, obstacles, and tactics: get clear on what your audience wants and needs — and then give it to them.

Part 4: Rehearse, Reveal—from rehearsal to opening night

Learn HOW to rehearse, including breaking down given circumstances, choosing an objective, creating a stage presence, and memorization. Work on blocking and body language. Plan the nuts and bolts for the day of, and craft your pre- and post-speech success routine.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  • We’ve got options for that. Tell us your timeline and we’ll make a plan! Just know that putting together a keynote is not a small task — if we’re coming up against the laws of physics and time, there’s a limit to how much we can get done! If you have a short timeline, we will be very honest in your consultation about what’s possible. Setting you up for success is our highest priority.

  • If your speech is already written, check out our Half Day Intensive or the Deep Dive Program. We’re also happy to custom-craft a plan for you! Just schedule a free consultation.

  • The Deep Dive program is focused on general presence, and the nuts and bolts of compelling delivery of your material. We can absolutely work on specific speeches within the program and are happy to refine existing text, but it’s not about creating a speech from scratch. This program is a comprehensive, intensive program to creating your talk.

  • Awesome! That means we get to spend more quality time on refining the words and polishing your performance. We promise that it’s worth it.

  • This is exactly why we created this program! We are — dare we say — magic at clarifying and distilling ideas into solid content.

  • The short answer is no. Why? Because nothing an outside person comes up with whole cloth is going to be as good on you as your ideas. That said, we LOVE helping flesh out your ideas, asking the questions that lead you to that rough draft, and editing the rough draft into a sparkly, magical final copy.  We believe everyone has the ability to create a signature talk! Of course, we all get stymied and intimidated sometimes. We are happy to connect you with trusted collaborative writers that can provide additional help to shape your text.
